Wireless Internet access is available throughout the park and is broadcast in both 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies from 23 UniFi Wireless Access Points. Wherever possible, WAPs are wired directly into the network backbone in one of 6 zones. UniFi Mesh APs are utilized to extend coverage into places that can’t be wired. Keeping the wireless hops to no more than 1, ensures a good user experience and better network stability.

Guests are redirected to a captive portal where they can login using a free voucher which provides a limited amount of data or buy data from a variety of available packages. Staff and Management users can login with username and password

Enterprise authentication and RADIUS controlled VLANs give Staff and Management users the ability to login with their username and password and be directed to a pre-defined VLAN, with its own set of DPI restrictions and bandwidth controls.

UniFi Video

Three video cameras mounted on a pole

Video surveillance of the entire park is made possible with a mixture of G3-AF and G3-Dome UniFi Video cameras. The 23 camera feeds are routed to the Network Video Recorder (NVR), which provides storage for about 9 weeks of motion activated recordings, which can be viewed from any device from anywhere using a web browser, so long as you have Internet access. There is also a mobile app for Apple iOS and Android devices.

The UAS manages the whole operation on-site, while enabling remote monitoring and administration via a cloud portal. This capable server is packed with 32GB of RAM, 2x 8TB 3.5″ internal hard drives, an 8-Core Intel Xeon processor and the ultra stable Ubuntu OS (Linux) all in a 1u rackmount chassis. Software services include the UniFi Network Controller and UniFi Video NVR.

Wireless Distribution System (WDS)

There are 9 airMAX wireless radios installed throughout the park which form the Wireless Distribution System (WDS). These Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint wireless links create Layer 2 bridges (ie. just like an Ethernet cable) in a hub-and-spoke topology between the various zones around the park. The system is monitored and administered by a UNMS instance running in the cloud, providing statistics and outage alerts 24 hours per day.

Routing & Switching

Terrestrial fixed Internet service is not available in this location making the task of providing enough bandwidth for business operations and guests a difficult task. For this reason, 5x Viasat Internet (satellite) and 1x Verizon Wireless (4G LTE) cellular links are combined to provide a total of ~60 Mbps actual download throughput.

All WAN links are fed into a Peplink Balance One Core router which handles load balancing, NAT, L2TP Remote Access VPN, and a combination of PepVPN and IPsec Site-to-Site VPN links to a Peplink FusionHub appliance hosted with Amazon Web Services. A SpeedFusion link is then established for bandwidth bonding, link failover, and remote network monitoring and administration.

A UniFi USG is connected to the Balance router which handles DHCP, VLANS, RADIUS server, DNS, Stateful Firewall and Intrusion Prevention System, and Bandwidth control and QoS.

A series of UniFi Switches of varying models handles all layer 2 traffic and powers most of the wireless access points, airMAX WDS radios, and ip video cameras.

how can we help you?

We offer a wide range of services meant to address all your current and future infrastructure needs.

Josh Madrone designed a website for our business last year and did an amazing job. His ability to internalize his clients’ needs, concerns, and overall vision is almost uncanny: we dumped tangled heaps of ideas on him, and he magically transformed it all into a coherent, purposeful, beautiful website. His technical knowledge, aesthetic instinct, and untiring attention to detail are impressive. I highly recommend his website design services.
